Hiding Behind the Lily Pad
There is nothing that we do, nor the deeds of others, good or bad, which can be hidden from God. He has infinite awareness, understanding and insight, and is present at all times, everywhere! That is truly a wonderful thing, depending on how you want to look at it. We can also be assured that nothing our adversary the devil does is ever hidden from Him!
Accused or Convicted?

"For there is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed, and nothing concealed that will not be known or brought out into the open." Luke 8:17

There is a difference between "who you are" and "what you do". The "who" we need to concern ourselves with, is the "who" we are "In Christ." Jesus died so we could have unmerited favor with Almighty God. Because we are His children, He judges us on that merit. We cannot hide from Him, nor should that ever be our desire. God's convictions are not harsh judgements. They are urgent and necessary growth spurts. When He reveals truth and we come into agreement with Him we experience a peaceful freedom and contentment. God's convictions are spiritual eye openers. When we begin to see like He sees, using the Word as our guide to good and evil, we can become liberated from the gavel of the one who is "the accusor" and attempts to judge the children of God.

"So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. John 8:36
Some things we do wrong in God's eyes are done when we are tricked by Satan into believing his very carefully laid out snares. It is important that we learn the distinction between how and what God would convict us of, and Satan's constant guilt ridden pounding. This may be from guilt of sins we have from our past, or perhaps as recent as today, which God has already understood and forgave. When we repent, forgiveness is immediate. Our sins are not only forgiven but forgotten. He even understands and forgives the repeat offender. Selah (just pause and think about that)
"The LORD looks out over the whole earth. He gives strength to those who commit their lives completely to Him..." 2Chronicles 16:9a
IN FAITH, He... ask that I trust Him to continuosly convict me of the changes I need to make. As I accept His correction, I can lay down the guilt and leave it as His feet. This "freedom" Jesus died to give to all who will believe on His Name.
God can and does get tough on us when we refuse to believe in His "rightness." He will allow whatever it takes for us to turn to Him, in the conviction of our sins. We should remember however, He does not keep flooding our conscience with our sins. We do that ourselves with a fair amount of help from our friends, the world and Satan. God would much rather we move on, seeking Him with a true desire to know more and more about His truth and His ways!
As we are reminded in the eleventh chapter of Hebrews, the faith chapter of the bible, "..anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him." Hebrews ll:6b
A Prayer to Share:
Father God,You are my judge and I am trusting You to change me through guidance by Your Holy Spirit. Thank you for loving me, for the convictions of my sins and for never giving up on me! Amen
