#6 Who am I, In Christ? The New Testament letters (The Epistles), from the Apostle Paul, give the believer instructions for belief in who we are, if we are In Christ. To be In Christ, your spirit must be born again into a new life with God through His Son, Jesus Christ. Do you know Him as Lord and is He the center of your life? These are a few of the benefits of the believer, revealed to us in God's Word: Substitute your name for I I am saved. I am a child of God. I walk in the light. I am sealed in Christ. I am hidden in Christ. I am abiding in Christ. I am a Saint. I have eternal life. I have His Name. I am free from the laws of sin and death. I am crucified, buried and arisen with Christ. I have access to the Father, anytime. I am a partaker of His divine nature. I am a member of the family of God. I have fellowship with Jesus. I am a follower of Christ. I am complete in Him. I am a new creature.

#7 Encourage the Encouragers! Seeking to live and breath the Word of God, I have learned to recognize my Spiritual Gift as an Encourager. This has prompted a few appreciated titles for Gramma Cherbear. Cybersaint bear! Messenger bear! Cyber-Tutor Grandma, And my personal favorite, Ministering angel bear! William Barclay said, "One of the highest of human duties is the duty of encouragement. It is easy to laugh at men's ideals; it is easy to pour cold water on their enthusiasm; it is easy to discourage others. The world is full of discouragers. We have a Christian duty to encourage one another. Many a time a word of praise or thanks or appreciation or cheer has kept a man on his feet. Blessed is the man who speaks such a word." Did you know that Satan attacks encouragers, too? Well, He Does! Big Time! I have suffered discouragement because some I desire to be a solid source of support for me, are not! "IN FAITH, HE..." confirmed me, as no one else could do! Bringing my encouragement from unexpected places, showing me that I am not to seek the approval of man, but only that which He offers. Isaiah 61:1-3 "The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed and qualified me...to give them an ornament (a garland or diadem) of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, the garment (expressive) of praise instead of a heavy, burdened, and failing spirit - that they may be called oaks of righteousness (lofty, strong, and magnificent, distinguished for uprightness, justice, and right standing with God, the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified." The Amplified Bible. I believe this is the heart of an encourager. Their purpose is to glorify the Lord! Please, be mindful to encourage your encouragers. They may not show the pain so often inflicted upon them. Pray for their courage! Gal.6:9-10 And let us not lose heart and grow weary and faint in acting nobly and doing right, for in due time and at the appointed season we shall reap, if we do not loosen and relax our courage and faint...Be mindful to be a blessing, especially to those of the household of faith (those who belong to God's family with you, the believers). The Amplified Bible I praise You, Lord Jesus, for being my Strong Tower. I give thanks to You, for You bring my encouragement from unexpected places and in due season! #8 A Godly Family! The Family of God!
A Godly Family. Living under the Holy Spirit's direction and leadership. Submission to God's will. Living for Jesus. Trusting in the Lord. Love is a decision. These phrases are familiar to members in the body of Christ, and reflect how we are to live life on this earth. A Godly family will reflect God's unconditional love to others, while living in obedience to His Word. If you are a member of a family that seeks to live and obey the precepts and principles set forth in God's Holy Word, you are a member of a Godly family. Josh. 24:15 ...as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD. The Family of God. Brothers and Sisters in Christ. Kindred Spirits. God's own child. Sons of God. Partakers of the Inheritance. These phrases are also familiar to members in the body of Christ. The family of God consist of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit, together with God's redeemed children. These children will never seize to be members of the eternal life given by Jesus Christ at Calvary. All who have trusted in Jesus for their salvation in a personal relationship with Him, will live forever for eternity in God's unconditional love. Forever! That's a Big Promise! Acts 4:12 Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved." Are you a member of the Family of God? If you are, God appointed a family of Christian sisters and brothers to you prior to your salvation, even prior to your birth. They are to help you grow in your walk with Him. To guide, protect, support, comfort, and love you! 1Cor. 12:27 Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it. Rom. 12:4-5 ...we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. If you are not a member of a church on fire for God, I pray you will ask God to lead you to your church family. He says you will know them by their fruits. This family will exhibit the fruits of His Spirit, spoken of in testimony #3, and the Pastors will not depart from teaching the Holy Bible as the infallible, inherent words of God. Father, I thank you for my Godly family. I thank you for directing my path to a church where I can live my life in the Word and grow in the family of God. Amen! ©1998 reserved by Cherbear back

#9 Trust Not in Your Understanding! Lean on The Word!
"IN FAITH, HE..." drew me to His Word! The answer to every question in life is in His Word! That's where we must look for Truth! God says that His Spirit will lead us to all Truth and that we must lean on His Word for our understanding. This holds true in every aspect of life. Love. Faith. Pain. Joy. Good verses Evil. Life Circumstances. All are covered in His Word. God did not leave us in the dark. Seek His Truth in every area of your life. He never changes and His Word is Life! It never changes! Are you a Believer, in Christ? Peter was talking to Believers when he said: 1Pet. 2:9 But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. Are you walking a Spirit Filled Life, in Christ? Jesus was speaking to Disciples when he said: John 16:13-15 But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. He will bring glory to me by taking from what is mine and making it known to you. All that belongs to the Father is mine. That is why I said the Spirit will take from what is mine and make it known to you. Who and What do you put your trust in? Is it Jesus? The Word? Solomon was speaking to God's people when he said: Prov. 3:5-8 Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD and shun evil. This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones. Praise you Father God that I do not have to trust in my own finite thinking. Thank you Jesus for bringing me out of darkness into your wonderful light. I praise you Lord for giving me your Holy Spirit, whom I can lean on and trust. Your Word brings revelation, correction and right thinking to my mind! Alleluia! Amen! ©1998 reserved by Cherbear back
