Trusting Jesus!

As Your Savior and Lord

Ark of the Covenant

"...Christ is the go-between of the new covenant (promise).
Now those God calls to Himself will receive the eternal gift He promised."
Hebrews 9:15

Do you think God has to cross His fingers when He gives us a promise?
God's promises are always true. He is always faithful!
God was faithful to Israel. He wanted them to be faithful to Him!
He wanted them to follow His Ten Commandments.

This "Ten Commandment" study from Cherbear's one year Bible study for children is also rewritten for Teens and Preteens. He knew His people could not do good without His help.
He sent His only Son Jesus to pay for all the wrong things people do.
That way they could have a relationship with God because they loved Him.

New Promise from God!

God sent His Son Jesus to save the world!
All they needed to do was accept His Son as their Savior, the Messiah.
Israel did not believe Jesus was God's Son. They did not believe He was their Savior.
Jesus was treated very badly. His body was beaten and He was nailed to a cross.
He died there. He was burried in a tomb. Three days later He arose from the dead.
God gave Him New Life! He wants to give us New Life too!

Jesus walked on the earth again with His disciples.
When He went back into Heaven to be with Father God,
He sent His Holy Spirit to live in people who ask Him to live in their hearts.
God made a new promise to all who come to Jesus.
Theywill be saved! The Spirit of God will live in them.
The Holy Spirit shows us God's truth.
He uses The Bible to teach us.
Let's look at a few of God's words to us!

Godly Direction!

"Trust in the LORD with all your heart. Do not depend on your own understanding.
In all your ways remember Him. Then He will make your paths smooth and straight."
Proverbs 3:5

God can lead us the way we should go when we stay close to Him. Remember, He is God! He knows everything. He does not do things the way we do them. He does not think the way we think. God's will is always best. We need to trust His Word!

Faith is a Gift from God!

"Let us keep looking to Jesus. He is the author of faith.
He also makes it perfect. He paid no attentiion to the shame of the cross.
He suffered there because of the joy he was looking forward to.
Then he sat down at the right hand of the throne of God."
He put up with attacks from sinners. So think about him.
Then you won't get tired. You won't lose hope.
Hebrews 12:2

This "Fruits of the Spirit" study from Cherbear's one year Bible study for children also contains five daily devotions and one weekly coloring page with each lesson. This eight part series helps teach what happens when we use the gifts of the Holy Spirit given to us when we accept Jesus' gift of salvation. We cannot have faith in God if we do not know Jesus. He gives us faith. We must trust Him to care for us and always be with us. Because of what Jesus did on the cross, we can know God as our Heavenly Father too!

Mercy and Forgiveness

"But God is faithful and fair. If we admit that we have sinned,
He will forgive us oursins. He will forgive every wrong thing we have done.
He will make us pure."
1John 1:9

God wants us to tell Jesus what we have done wrong. The Holy Spirit can tell our hearts when we have done wrong. We need to ask Him to show us! Jesus will forgive us and make us clean again. Then our sins will not come between us and God.

 

Set Free by

Jesus Christ!

"So if the Son of Man sets you free, you will really be free."
John 8:36

In the promise God made with Israel, they were saved by what they did. There were rituals and sacrifices they had to make. Jesus set us free from working to be saved. Jesus is the only way to God. We need to receive His wonderful free gift. We can know the presence of the Spirit of God in our hearts. God will bless His children!

Jesus is Our Shepherd!

A voice came from the cloud. It said,
"This is my Son, and I have chosen him. Listen to him."
Luke 9:35
 

Jesus said that He and the Father are ONE! Jesus spoke what God wanted Him to say. Father God wants us to listen to Jesus. He is our Shepherd. He will guide us with His Word by His Holy Spirit!

Trusting Jesus as Lord and Savior!

Jesus replied,

"What I am about to tell you is true. No one can see God's kingdom unless he is born again."

..."The Spirit gives birth to spirit." John 3:3,6b

Jesus tells us that we must be "born again." He is talking about our spirit. Our spirit has to be connected to God's Spirit. When we receive Jesus we become "born again" in our spirit. Our hearts belong to Jesus. His Spirit can live in us.

 

Scripture says, (Joel2:32)
"Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."
Rom. 10:13
God loves all people.

He will not refuse anyone who comes to Him in the name of Jesus!

" You can't be saved by believing in anyone else.
God has given us no other name under heaven that will save us."
Acts 4:12
 

God sent only one person to save all of mankind and set them free from sin. Jesus is the only way we can go to heaven and live with God forever. We can all be God's children. When you understand what Jesus did, it is the time to invite Him to come into your heart. Ask Him to forgive the bad things you have done. When you do, ask God to teach you to be like His Son Jesus. Let Him be the boss of your life.

Please pray with me!

Father God,

I understand that I do bad things. You call this sin. I ask You to fill my empty heart with Jesus. I believe that Jesus is Your Son. He was punished for my sins. He died for me on the cross because He loves me. He lives again. Please forgive the bad things I have done. Thank you for sending Your Holy Spirit to live inside of me. Help me to be like Jesus. Thank you God, for your wonderful plan. I am Your child! Jesus is my Lord and my very best Friend!
