God's Love - Rescued From the Water

Teachers may add their own creative skills and special touches. You can use snacks, play games, select music and/or use a study of the people in the Bible chosen by God to teach this lesson. At Calvary Kids Church, we will be having our church drama team present a skit with some of the lessons. Each week is different. Be creative and capture their attention. Remember they will be getting to know the Critters, their personalities, and be able to relate to them as time goes on. I have set this page so you can copy and print the lessons for any helpers you may have. All I ask is that you click below and ask for permission to use so I can keep track of how they are received.

Read the Bible Verse for the day!
The Bible Says:
"No one has greater love than the one who gives his life for his friends." John 15:13

Objective:
Jesus saved us so we can live forever with God in heaven. This is how He showed His great love for us. Jesus is the our awesome Valentine from God. We should be thankful.

(Speak with the children)
When you read the Bible or study about God, you learn that some things are wrong for you to do. It could be, telling a lie, cheating in a game or at school, stealing from someone, or some other bad thing. Can you think of other things God tells us is wrong? God has told you not to do these things, but sometimes you do not obey what He has said. This is called "sin." Talk about what it means to obey God.

(Teach the children)
God knew we needed to be rescued from our sins. He sent His Son, Jesus to save us. Jesus was God's only Son, and He did not sin. Jesus took the punishment that God was going to give to us when He died on the cross. Jesus is our wonderful Valentine from God!

God's Love - Rescued from the Water
Joshua Jackrabbit had a bad fall into the Kid Cave pond. His friends have come to rescue him. They love Joshua with God's great love! They saved him and will protect and care for him. Joshua loves his critter friends with a very thankful heart!

(closing)
  Repeat today's Bible verse.
When we ask Jesus, He will put God's love in our hearts. God's Holy Spirit can help us know good things from bad. He can teach us how to love others with God's great love. He will teach us to rescue others by showing them His love. He wants us to thank Him for what He has done for us. Jesus wants us to love Him not just for what He does for us, but because He is God.

Worship God with music.
