Christmas Study in the Bible - Charting the Course!
Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea. Wise
men came from the east and said, "We were in the east, we
saw His star." Matthew 2:2
They were following the course that God had charted for them. Jesus Christ was born in Bethlehem in Judea and was born a King for all of God's children! The magi or wise men wanted to find the Christ child whom they had been told was the "Anointed One of God," the "Messiah," and the "King of the Jews." They were bearing gifts to take to the child that would grow up to be the Shepherd of the people of Israel. When they found Him, they were filled with great joy! They bowed down and worshiped Him.
The same is true for a child of God. When we find Him we are filled with great joy. He is worthy of our worship and praise. Jesus gave the gift of eternal life to all who will believe in Him and receive the gift in faith. God the Father leads us to His Son and we are given a choice to accept or reject Him. After we accept God's saving grace, the best gift we can give back to Jesus is to love Him with all our hearts. He wants us to share His love, peace and joy with others.
Joshua Jackrabbit is charting the course
which leads to the brightest star in the sky. The Critters will
tell their friends, "If you follow this Star, you will find
true Love, Peace and Joy." They want others to know about
the baby Jesus. They will celebrate His birth on Christmas Day.
Their map will show others the way!
When we celebrate Christmas, we celebrate Jesus' birth and the new birth we have in Him. God gave us His Son so that we can live with Him forever! That is the "Joy in giving!" Jesus is God's undeserved present to us!
Sing praises and thank God for
His wonderful Gift!
Enjoy the celebration and remember,
JESUS is the Reason for the Season!
