The Ten Commandments / Beatitudes

The Bible Says:

"You shall not covet you neighbor's wife. You shall not set your desire
on your neighbor's house of land, his manservant or maidservant,
his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor."
Deuteronomy 5:21

The Ten Commandments (10) - Home Sweet Home!

Have you ever looked at another person's home and thought, "I wish I lived in a home like that!" Do you look at their possessions and desire them for yourself? Maybe you have wished you look like someone else. God does not want you to think about what you do not have. We are all special to God. He knows exactly what we need. He wants you to see all of your blessings and think about the good He has supplied for you.

It seems we always think the grass is greener on the other side of the mountain. Wanting to be like someone else or have their blessings will keep our minds looking at what the world offers. We will not see what God is up to in our lives. We can be happy and content with what we have, when we keep our eyes on Jesus. This will bring God's peace, comfort, joy and love into our hearts. He wants us to bring His blessings to others.

Blessed Are You!

"Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you
and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me."
Matthew 5:11

If we know Jesus Christ as our Lord and understand what it means to be saved, we have the hope and joy in our hearts that comes from knowing God intimately. There is no greater joy thank this. Many people do not know about God. They make fun of our belief, hope and joy. This can be very hurtful to God's children. Believers are to live for God and learn to deny selfish wants. When our will matches up with God's will, there is nothing withheld from us. God says we will see our reward in heaven. Heaven is our eternal 'Home Sweet Home'!

Cami Cub lives with Gramma Cherbear in the Kid Cave. Emmi Squirrel has a nest high up in a tree. Emmi is the only one of the Critters whose home is in a tree! Joshua Jackrabbit lives in the beautiful poppy field meadow just at the edge of the forest. God has given Him a beautiful home. Liam leapfrog makes his home in the sparkling waters of the Kid Cave Pond. All of the Critters are blessed by God in different ways. They are all happy with what God has given them. Each loves their own "Home Sweet Home'.

When we fail to see all the good God does for us; When we focus our attention on the blessings of others or even just on what we don't have, we miss the calm sweet rest that is available to all believers through looking at the cross, Jesus, His resurrection and gift of the Holy Spirit within us. Try gliding on the wings of the dove instead of desiring the soaring heights of the eagle.
